During my speech, I focused on the value of engineering and the quality profession, outlining the many routes and opportunities available for young minds who are curious about building and improving the world around them. We spoke about mindset, the importance of curiosity, discipline, and resilience, and why these are crucial for anyone pursuing a technical career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event wasn\u2019t just about speeches. We engaged students through an interactive session, where I used my favourite \u201cphone vs. pipe cost\u201d analogy to explain engineering economics and decision-making. The students were highly engaged, asking thoughtful questions and participating actively which were a true sign that the message resonated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This visit is not the end of the story; it is the beginning. I am now working with colleagues, including oil and gas engineers, to launch a mentorship program that will provide sustained guidance and support for students like those I met in Shamakhi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Growing up, I never had mentors or outreach events like this. No one explained to me the opportunities or challenges that awaited me in engineering or quality management. This experience reminded me why I am so passionate about creating such opportunities today.
